ClubGG Hand Histories in Hand2Note: A Practical Guide

ClubGG brought home games and coaching groups online. Here is how to review those hands in Hand2Note with proper stats instead of screenshots.

What you need

  • A ClubGG account with access to the hands you want to review: your own sessions, or your club's hands if you run the club.
  • Hand2Note installed on Windows.
  • A modern browser for the MergeConverter converter. Chrome, Edge or Opera if you want folder auto-sync.

Why convert at all?

Hand2Note is excellent at turning large samples into stats, ranges and dynamic HUD profiles. But like every desktop tracker it expects hand history files from a supported room, and ClubGG hand data doesn't come in that form. Converting ClubGG logs to the PokerStars layout gives Hand2Note something it already understands perfectly.

Converting ClubGG hands

  1. Export or record your ClubGG sessions as hand logs (MergeConverter JSON). See the format reference.
  2. Drop them onto the online converter, or connect your log folder under Auto-sync a folder.
  3. Download the .txt, or let auto-sync write it into your output folder.

ClubGG screen names often contain spaces or emoji. They are kept as they are, so opponents look the same in Hand2Note as they do at the table.

Importing into Hand2Note

  1. In Hand2Note, open the import menu and import the converted file to test the setup.
  2. Add your MergeConverter output folder to Hand2Note's hand history folders for auto-import.
  3. Set your ClubGG nickname as your player so your results and stats are tracked under one profile.

Tips for coaching groups

  • Give each student their own output folder and database if you want separate reports, or point everyone at one folder to study a merged pool.
  • Use the club name in the log so table names in Hand2Note show which club each hand came from.
  • The Team plan (early access) adds shared folders and admin tools for groups of up to 10 players.

Is it allowed?

Private clubs set their own rules. Reviewing your hands after a session is widely accepted, but real-time HUDs are often not. Check with your club and follow the platform's terms.
